The fresh initiative comes amid growing concern about Britain's vulnerability to internet outages and online threats.

Recent events have highlighted these vulnerabilities, including a widespread failure affecting international online platforms and latest online threats that halted manufacturing at significant plants and logistics systems across several organizations.

Management and Supervision

A ex-military leader of the Britain's aerial defense command will deliver recommendations next month on how the state-backed organization can best support the scope of official artificial intelligence goals in national security, homeland protection and information gathering.

Strategic Realignment

The center's head, a former Amazon UK boss, confirmed that 78 different research projects at the 440-staff institute have been closed, spun out or finished because they do not align with the revised strategy.
