England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the this year's Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The trio have been celebrated for their remarkable achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses claim victory in Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings.

Littler won the award in 2024 after his remarkable rise.

The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a national radio breakfast show.

The champion will be unveiled on the annual sports awards show on Thursday, 18 December.

The show will be aired from 7 PM GMT.

The Football Star

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her international debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She entered the fray to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.

Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the top young European talent.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament in October.

"To be named a finalist for Young Sports Personality of the Year is incredible," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in spectacular fashion as - aged 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, breaking the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Last year's win was a special memory for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue elevating darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and surged to prominence with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin came in second place in the season's run tally and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.

"I'm truly honoured to be shortlisted for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it encourages more young women to get into cricket."
