Former BBC Advisers Undergo Parliamentary Inquiry Following Allegations of Partiality in Unauthorized Document
We start with queries from Conservative MP the committee chair, that oversees the panel.
She initiates by offering context to the unauthorized document written by Michael Prescott and published in a daily publication.
"I don't want the BBC leaning toward one side or the other, I just want it straight, impartial and just," he says.
In response to a query whether he believes the BBC is systematically partial, he answers: "No, I do not. To be clear, tons of stuff the BBC does is exceptional - encompassing documentary and fictional shows."
However, he continues: "There exists substantial tasks that needs to be done at the BBC."
A further previous consultant British Broadcasting Corporation specialist interviewed by the committee, Caroline Daniel, remarks she regards the British Broadcasting Corporation extremely earnestly and that it operates a "persistent practice and vigorous discourse" regarding evolving and intricate topics.
"Whether the BBC was willing to conduct a thorough conversation and exchange and act accordingly?" she questions. "From my perspective, affirmative, they were."
