Passionate supporters of Ariana Grande are calling for that a man who breached a barrier and grabbed the actress during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating clip shows the individual from Australia pushing past camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the performers made its way down a yellow carpet accompanied by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo quickly wrested the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being detained", though official papers indicated that he was scheduled to be present on Friday morning. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram feed contains recordings of him disturbing other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the artist's Sydney performance in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last December.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is obviously a legal violation," commented an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" one Instagram user questioned.

Fans Voice Worry Over Ariana's Safety

Numerous followers blamed Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist explosion at the conclusion of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and injuring hundreds.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented a further message on Instagram.

Several supporters also criticised security officers at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while others called for online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Response and Event Details

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande seemed surprised when she was grabbed by the individual. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not commented on the event, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Many of supporters had assembled in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore venue, including a number who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it started.

The film, to be launched on 21 November, is the follow-up of a dual version of the well-known stage show Wicked, which revolves around the unexpected relationship between two very different characters.

The show itself is a spin-off of the twentieth-century children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful movie of last year in the UK, and earned a dozen Academy Award nods, winning a pair for best costume and artistic direction.
