BF6 Battle Royale Goes Live Tomorrow as a Free-to-Play Game Mode
After a long period of speculation, the BR mode for BF6 is at last launching. Last week's talk indicating its arrival would coincide with the first season were spot-on. Fans can jump into the mode starting in just a day.
Launch Season Bringing a Brand-New Arena, Style, and Weapons
Together with the BR mode, Season 1 is also kicking off. This introduces a new map, a new mode, and an expanded arsenal. On top of that, Redsec is making its debut. A featured teaser will become available at launch, providing fans a taste of what's to come.
Complimentary Access Allows Redsec Available to All
Maybe the most significant announcement is that the battle royale mode will be free-to-play. Similar to popular offerings, you won't require to buy the main title to join in. Several participants have previously experienced early versions of the mode. These playtests were conducted in a collaborative space, which the team described as their biggest fan involvement project.
The intense thrill during encounters with another squad is unique in other BR game. It seems do or die, and you actually care if you die or survive.
Even though I considered myself a skeptic earlier, I'm now a fan of the BR mode after playing it.
Such early feedback from players have been overwhelmingly favorable. Certainly, the mode may have evolved over the last month or two in terms of tuning and speed. But, initial indicators are positive that this new mode could emerge as a true competitor to popular offerings. Some are expecting that the most effective firearms from the original Battlefield 6 will be available in the new mode.
